Delsin

“So what did they say?” Tim asked sitting in the passenger seat with all his attention focused on Delsin.

“Nothing,” he responded. “It’s been two days and neither of them has said anything. They’ve been unusually quiet. Dinner is about the only time I’ve spent with either of them and the meals have been peaceful. Otherwise I’ve been hiding out in my room.”

Tim giggled, “I guess it was a good thing you told them.”

He frowned, “I was hoping they’d say something. It seems like they are just going to ignore it.”

“Isn’t that a good thing?” Tim shifted nervously in his seat.

“No.” Delsin disagreed, “I’m tired of hiding who I am.”

Tim groaned to himself, “I do not think it is a good idea to be telling people.”

Taking his eyes off the road Delsin scowled, “Thanks for your support.”

Tim back peddled, “I’m fine with it. You’re my best friend and I don’t have a problem with it. I’m just worried about what others will think and do about it.”

“I can take care of myself.”

“Still Chandler has a small town attitude.”

Delsin had an idea where Tim’s fears were coming from, “Don’t worry. I am not going to be going around and telling everyone I’m gay. To be honest, I think you and my family are the only people I am going to tell.”

“Okay.” Tim let out a sigh of relief.

Delsin shifted the conversation from himself, “How are you doing?”

“I’m okay.” Tim had something he wanted to share, “I discovered this album of my mom’s that is fricken amazing! It is called Little Earthquakes by Tori Amos. I keep listening to it, like all the time. When I’m feeling down, it is comforting to me. “

As Tim spoke Delsin listened quietly. He was irritated by Tim’s lack of support. He was also concerned about Tim’s revelation about being depressed and listening to the same song over and over again. Not knowing what to say Delsin decided it was better not to say anything at all.
